Sterling silver Odhroerir pendant
Sterling silver Odhroerir pendant
From the Icelandic Galdrabók (Galdrabók means Book of Magic. The Galdrabók, preserved in the Stockholm, Sweden, is dated to approximately 1600.) This Rune Stav is said to give the wearer creative inspiration.
There are several possible translations for Óðrerir. In skaldic poetry, Óðrerir is a synonym of mead of poetry.[1]
This pendant design is hand carved into jeweler's charcoal and then individually hand cast. Due to the process involved in making this pendant, each one is unique. The pictures show are examples of various castings. Each has imperfections and the bail (which holds the pendant to the necklace) varies in style.
The images shown are meant to be a representation and the pendant you receive will vary due to the unique individual casting of each one.
These pendants are cast and constructed from sterling silver and include a 20-inch waxed cotton cord with sterling silver wire wrapped ends and simple clasp.
If you wish, you may upgrade from the 20 inch waxed cotton cord to a 20 inch sterling silver 2.3 mm rolo chain with a manufactured clasp.
